PMP Certification Requirements
In addition to receiving a passing score on the PMP exam, there are certification requirements that must be met before you can become credentialed. Project management experience is obviously necessary, but education is also essential in becoming a PMP certified operator. It is stipulated that all project management experience must be attained within the past eight years prior to submission.
PMP Certification Requirements for high school diploma, AA degree or global equivalent.
60 months of various project management experience is required for certification. You must have directed project commencements for no less than 7500 hours and thirty five hours of accredited PMP education.
PMP Certification Requirements for bachelor’s degree or global equivalent.
For applicants who possess a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 36 months is required for project management experience and 4500 hours must be spent leading the project. The educational requirements for certification will include various methods of training and curriculum. From workshops to course work, completion of each classroom session is the equivalent to one contact hour.
